I have used the Scrapbook Fantasies Lime Time Designer Scrapbooking Kit (pictured below), raw chipboard letters from my stash, black inkpad, black zig writer pen, acid free tape and dimensional magic.

All of these products are available from Scrapbook Fantasies.

However, you could use any products you choose to re-create this easy and flexible design.  I have included two possible variations at the end of the class.

(I have listed each item used from the Lime Time Scrapbooking Kit in brackets)

1. Select background page (avalanche) and draw a line around the outside edge.

2. Cuta a 6″x6″ piece of plain (orange cream), ink and adhere 1″ down and 1″ in from the left on the background.

3. Cut a 3.5″x9.5″ piece of stripe (hoboken), ink and adhere 1″ down from 6″ square and flush with the left edge of the background.

4. Cut a 1″x12″ piece of circles (sarsaparilla), ink and adhere 0.5″ in from left edge of 6″ square from top to bottom.

5. Cut a 2″x12″ piece of busy pattern (howdy doody), ink and adhere so it covers bottom of 6″ square and top of stripe.  If using the howdy doody paper from the Lime Time Designer Scrapbooking Kit try to cut this piece so that you have the light green birds the right way up once adhered to the page (as pictured).

6. Cut a 0.5″x6″ piece of spots (tart & tiny), ink and adhere just above the bottom of the 2″x12 piece so that only 1mm of the pattern shows.

7. Print the stitching guide from here then use it to pierce the dots (not the dashes) over page for stitching a running stitch of three doubled strands of embroider thread (varigated orange).

8. Sand photograph (5″x7″ portrait) and adhere to page as pictured.

9. Add journaling and date in acid free pen.

10. Add a selection of buttons and brads below 2″x12″ piece.  Don’t forget to sew your buttons on with the thread leftover from the stitched circle.

11. Go through your stash of raw chipboard letters to create a mismatched title.  Ink the letters with the inkpad you have been using on the papers for the page, then once dry paint with a thin coat of Dimensional Magic to seal.

12. Trim off any paper pieces that may be overhanging and then ink around the outside edge of the page.

(I have listed each item used from the Nonsense Designer Scrapbooking Kit in brackets)

1. Draw a single line around the background (x) with chocolate zig writer pen.

2. Cut a 5.75″ x 5.75″ teal square, a three colour wave (approx 1.5″ wide x6″ long), a 4.75″ wide green circle and eight leaves (Fiddle Faddle).  I used a small dip bowl to draw the circle on the back of the green paper, so that my pencil lines were on the back and didn’t need to be erased.

3. Cut a 2″x12″ brown strip (Ding Dong) and tear 1″ from one end to make it 2″x11″.

4. Lightly ink the items from steps 1, 2 and 3 with pinecone inkpad.

5. Adhere chocolate strip 2″ from bottom of background and flush with the left side of page.

6. Adhere teal square 1″ in from the left and 1″ down from the top on the background.

7. Mark and punch small (1/8″) holes half an inch apart across the background approximately a quarter of an inch down from the chocolate strip.

8. Cut a strip of orange (Jingle Jangle) and adhere behind the holes.  Be careful not to let any adhesive show through the holes.

9. Cut a 6″x8″ piece (Jingle Jangle) for a photo mat and ink.

10. Adhere one 5.75″x7.75″ landscape photo or two 3.75″x5.75″ portrait photos to the orange mat.

11. Adhere wave strip over chocolate strip flush with the left of the page and approximately 1/8″ up from the bottom of the chocolate strip.

12. Adhere green circle 1.25″ from bottom and 2″ from right side covering end of wave.

13. Adhere photo on foam with same amount of chocolate strip showing at top of wave as below wave, and a quarter of an inch in from left side of teal.

14. Add leaves on foam.

15. Apply lettering (Making Memories Brown School House Mini Shimmer Alphabet Stickers) down right side of photo mat.

16. Add journaling with chocolate pen.

17. Draw a very light pencil line 2″ from top of page and use as a guide for pins and jewels: 1 x 8mm green brad, 1 x 8mm orange brad, 2 x 4mm chocolate brads, 3 x 4mm green brads, 14 splitpea green jewels of various sizes.

Variations:
* The photo block could house as many photos as you want, not just one or two.
* You could stick ribbon above chocolate strip and below orange holes.
* You could even stick a piece of ribbon half an inch in from the left edge of the page from top to bottom.
* The title could be bigger and even made with chipboard.
* The teal piece could be a striped paper, with the stripes running horizontally.
* The wave piece could be a patterned paper or a wide decorative ribbon.
* You could use multiple colours behind the holes, not just one.
